Paper Nest Dolls - Chick Chick
http://thepapernestdolls.blogspot.com.au

Today I have the absolute pleasure to be guest designer for Paper Nest Dolls.  This is a family run business and all the hand drawn designs are based on the families 6 children.

This gorgeous young lady was a pleasure to colour and I really went to town with making sure I made her bright and fresh.

I have coloured her in using copic markers.  The embellishment is Liliofthevalley and a stampin up punch used along with the paper colours pink pirouette and bashful blue.  I had some bashful blue ribbon stashed away so used that as well.  The egg paper is from old stock and I made the egg in the background using a oval die and perfect plum paper.

The embellishments used are from local shops and the chicks have a touch of wink of stella along with all the love hearts in the picture.

The second image I had the privilege of colouring is Bunny Girl, again she was coloured with copics.  This time I have gone for a shabby chic feel to the card which also has a detachable bookmark.

The papers are stampin up pear pizazz and blushing bride with matching ink pads along with soft suede.  The embelishemtns are locally sourced.  Close up on the bunny I have used glossy accents on his nose and the spots in his ears.  I used wink of stella in clear on his tale and the flowers on the egg.

Hope you like these images and the cards I have made, thanks for visiting, hugs, Lynsey xx

Ching-Chou Kuik - Wishing Stars

Good afternoon my lovely crafting friends, I have decided to use this image for my entry into the monthly challenge which is themed love is all around around.  I thought about adding some love hearts to the imaged but decided not to as in my opinion you dont always need hearts to express love. I gave the image a romantic shabby chic feel which is also a love of mine <3  Hope you like her, I just have to now figure out how to make a box envelope for her as the flowers are too big for a conventional one.  Happy Valentines Day <3xoxo<3

The Paper Shelter - She Wolf

For those who know me would know how much I loved this image when I saw it.  My love of Native American culture came from me failing school and a teacher saying just read this...Bury my heart at wounded knee.  The book went flying across the room a few times but a love started.  I have never been to America...as yet...

I have kept this card very simple as felt it did not need bling embellishments of frills of any kind.  I googled the quote so apologise if it is incorrect.

Coloured with copics:
Skin - E31, 33, 35 Cheeks - R81, 83
Hair - E21, 25, 29 and B12
Wolf - W1, 3, 5, 7 and B12
Leaves and snowflakes - B12, G82, 94, 99

Paper is stampin up Sky Blue and grey paper is kaisercraft, after 5 collection

I edged the image using sponge with sky blue and smokey slate (R) ink pads from stampin up

Aurora Wings - Pansy

I love this image and I had coloured in in one night while watching Gilmore Girls <3 then the February challenge came up with the colour scheme of Mardi Gras colours, green, purple and gold.  Looked through my coloured images and this lady jumped out at me.

I have coloured her in copics, and just added some touches and shading with primsmacolor pencils, this is new to me so its very light.  I have used stampin up card stock and some eBay embellishments.  I never post pictures of the inside of the card so thought this time I would.  Hope you like her, hugs Lynsey xxx

Art By Mi Ran progressive challenge February

Well this month was a bit sad in that this is the last progressive challenge for the Facebook page and it is in fact closing down.  The etsy shop is to remain open but the artist is following a different direction.  I have only discovered this world of digi stamps about 6 months ago and obviously by my blog I am slightly smitten.  I did however win a January challenge so will pick a new picture and get that up as soon as.

So also I have chose to use my new prismacolor pencils of which I am still playing.  My blending is way off but like the richness the image has given.
