Scrappers Delights - Willie snow Angel

I love this little guy, and what a great picture to practice my pencil colouring.  I have used prismacolor pencils and the only paper I had was a beige tone so made that part of a feature.  The card is all stampin up with a old DSP.  The sentiment is liliofthevalley and the metal snow flake is form eBay.  I have used glitter glue on all the snow drops.

Hi guys, happy weekend again.  Today I am showing you the gorgeous little reindeer from Scrappers Delights.  I love all the little lights on her.  I have coloured her using copics and prismacolor pencils so get the texture I wanted with the fur.  The papers are kaiserkraft with stampin up pink pirouette and wisteria wonder, and wisteria wonder twine.  The silver santa is from eBay.

Its trick to see but close up I have used lots of glossy accents to give clear shine to the nose, eyes and all the little lights, I have used liquid pearls and gems as embelishments.

Simply b October Progressive challenge

One of the reasons I love progressive challenges is that you get the image given, there is no messing around and then you create what you will from the given image.

I have coloured this autumn lovely in copics with the colour scheme given of orange, black, cream and brown.  One DSP (R stampin up)  used as requested and leaves as embellishments (Stampin up die, skeleton leaves).

I decided not to go too far out with the embelies as the paper is super busy.

Thanks guys, xx

Julia Spiri - Whimsy

Happy weekend everyone, here in Australia it is spring so I wanted to compete in some challenges which are mainly all Autumn but using a image which is quite vibrant and reminded me of spring.  Hence this image in Autumn reds and oranges.

She is coloured all in copics with a dash of wink of stella.  I have used gems, ribbons and buttons to embellish and drawn a stitched border around the paper.  The paper is a old stampin up stock in real red and pumpkin pie and matching ribbon.

Have a great rest of the weekend, love Lyns xx

Scrappers Delights - Winnie Halloween Witch

Hi guys happy weekend, its coming round quick now will all be
christmas projects soon.  Well here is the new release from Scrappers Delights, I have had great fun colouring this.

I have had distress inks for ever and never really done a massive amount with them as Im not fabulous at getting that smooth blend you all do so for this project I wanted a smokey look and thought - i can do that lol.  I have added a few touches with copic pens and silver and gold gel pen to look like a spell.

Winnie is coloured completely in copics and massive use of my black pen which is not normally used.  Thanks for swinging by.

Lynsey xx

The Paper Shelter - So Pretty

Good morning my crafty friends.  So I love vintage, I love distressed and I had great fun making this card for a special birthday.  I have coloured using a combination of copics and prismacolor pencils as I didn't have the copic colours I wanted so topped up the colour.  I have used some old kaiserkraft papers I had hiding around and stampin up cardstock.  The vintage edges are a eBay find and the post card is kmart.  I have embellished with a little spotty ribbon, liquid pearls and heat embossed frantage.

Aurora Wings - Little Elf

How to tell I had the day off work, 3 blog posts in a day after nearly 2 months off, so sorry for inundating you all ;)  I love this little sprite (anything fairy really) love all mythical and magical things.  It took me a while to start this as she's a little intimidating with all the small details.

I have mixed copic and prismacolor again.  The papers are stampin up in crumb cake and bashful blue (R) and some old DSP, the ribbon is from a gift I bought from a shop and kept the ribbon after gift giving.  The background is sponged using the scalloped cutter and stampin up tempting turquoise ink.  There is very few embellishments on this card and feel the picture itself is enough.

Julia Spiri - The Fantasy Hat

Some of you will know by know that I love love love steampunk.  I love the grungy look and all sorts of cogs and watches etc, so this was such a fun project to colour.

I have done a mixture of copics and prismacolours for this picture which i think helped create intensity, I was quite happy to not have a smooth blend on the hat and background.  The cogs were done with dies on gold paper and I sponged in black stayz on.  The actual metal cogs were from eBay.

the card is stampin up basic grey and the ribbon is cherry cobbler.

Ching-Chou Kuik - Squirrel land toadstool

Good morning my crafty friends.  So today was my day off from work, dogs got walked dinner prepared, putting off doing some extra study, so popped on Facebook and saw the challenge over at Ching-Chou Kuik for Once upon a time.  In our house every saturday night, we get ready for bed about 5ish (party animals I know) we usually have pizza or something else that doesn't require cutlery and snuggle in front of the tv for Once Upon a Time, were at season 4 at the moment and our little family is loving this tradition.  So as soon as I saw the challenge I thought of Zelina.

She is coloured using all copics and a little bit of black pencil to add extra shading.  This is my first time doing a coloured skin so was great fun.  White gel pen was used for the stars and on the mushrooms.

I have used stampin up papers in Tangerine Tango and Not quite Navy (R).  The ribbon is matching and the leaves are from the new set of Colourful seasons, which I also used the die to create the scalloped bottom, then attached black gems.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you like her xx

Cute as a button - Progressive Freebie challenge - August

This was fun, as soon as I saw the flying nun I started singing sister act, a sound of music, so knew I had to do some kind of music theme.

I coloured her up first using copics and the background from this months kit and clowder class then found some old stampin up papers with the clouds and the marina mist coloured card and ribbon.  The sentiment is a scrappers delights from the christmas elf last year and the heart is a kmart stamp given to me by a friend.

Hope you like her and I wonder will she make you sing? <3

Ching-Chou Kuik - Aurora Woods.

This month the challenge on the Ching-Chou Kuik is faces of the world, I pretty stuck in my ways with my skin tones as only have a limited number of pens but grabbed the copic skin colour pack which has different tones to what I would normally use and just used these.  I tried the background from this months kit and clowder class.  Added some white gel pen and a few dies from the new stampin up seasonal layers.

The papers are stampin up Early expresso on the tree branch and the background paper is perfect plum.  The snow flake paper is about 10 years old and no idea where from ;)

Paper Nest Dolls - Wedding Couple

This gorgeous little couple was created for a special order from a friend.  The wedding is in Bali so I googled the resort and looks like it has beautiful gardens and lots of frangipanis so hence the colour scheme.  Coloured with copics and prismacolor pencils.  I have utilised this months kit and clowder colouring class with the grass and last months with the dress folds and sequins.  I have not really done a ivory dress before so was very different.

The paper stock is mostly stampin up with matching ink in Daffodil delight and Regal rose (R).  The frangipani flowers and card is from old stash.  Stampin up diamonds and ribbon used.  Inside is Floral phrases and Elements of Style (R).  The card is massive and measures  20 cm x 20 cm so good job they are going to the wedding and not posting.

Thanks for stopping by, see you next time xx

Ching-Chou Kuik - Cheshire Cat Illusion

I wasn't a massive fan of the remakes of Alice however totally loved the colours and the animation and imagination.  That all inspired me with this little project, which has been coloured using copics.

I have mounted on some old stampin up DSP in crushed curry and cherry cobbler.  The dies are old stock and I can't remember the names.  The mirror was silver and gold card and I sponged to make it look old and grungy.  The little bottle has red glitter and a little drink me rolled up parchment.

The inside of the card has some liliofthevalley sentiment and a clock stamp.  Thanks for swinging by xx

Cute as a button

Hi Everyone, so Ive had a month off blogging and entering competitions but I could miss out on the cute as a button monthly challenge.  So many uses for this little lady and the turtle reminded me of Nemo.

I have primarily coloured her in copics with a bit of extra depth using prismacolor pencils and used the background i have learnt in a Kit and Clowder class.  The paper is old stock with stampin up pool party along with the anchor stamp, the fun in the sun was from a magazine.  On her goggles I decided to attempt a reflection, I'm nut sure you can really see it in the pictures and maybe just makes her goggles look darker.

 Thanks for stopping by xx

Aurora Wings - Crown of Roses

Hi guys, I've had this image for a while but never quite felt confident enough to try the roses, I decided to just go for it as ive been practising with prismacolor pencils lately and trying different papers out.  This was a pastel paper and i was not 100% happy with the finished image as was a bit rough tooth for my choice.  I have used very minimal embellishments are wanted the roses to pop.  No glitter this time very plain the pattern paper is stampin up old stock along with the emblishemnts which are new.  The papers are perfect plum and pacific point.  I have used a really old stamp inside and aged this to match the roughness of the paper on the cover. xx
